An 11 year old girl from Russia wrote a letter to astronauts on the International Space Station saying she dreams of finding herself in zero gravity because then she wouldn’t need a wheelchair.
“I can’t walk, and I have to move with the help of a wheelchair… But you don’t need a wheelchair in zero-gravity, you could fly.”

Dana Novikova, who resides in a small town near Moscow, put the letter into a mailbox that the Russian Federal Space Agency Roscosmos opened in the Space Exploration Museum.

Dana’s dream has always been “to get acquainted with a real cosmonaut,” and that dream came true. Dana met cosmonaut Aleksandr Lazutkin, a retired cosmonaut who is the deputy director of the Space Exploration Museum. He gave her several gifts and a personal tour around the science museum.
